What is Person Centred Counselling?
Person centered counselling is a client led therpy where you are in control and set the pace.
You may want to cover an experience in your life or understand why you are having unwanted thoughts/feelings and patterns of behaviour.
Feeling weighed down by life, perhaps feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed or even trapped by negative thoughts. It can be hard to see the light during these dark times; this is where Person Centred Counselling helps as we can explore these issues in a safe space.
My aim is to understand your issues with a non-judgemental approach, providing you with the insight to your issues and make the changes you want to make to you feel genuinely accepted for who you are. By working together in a safe, caring and confidential environment you will begin to understand your own feelings. You will be able to work towards strengthening your own identity and begin to separate yourself from the ideas of how you 'should' be to how you’ want’ to be.
You’ve already taken a step forward towards healing. You are closer to a "new" you.
As humans we all go through challenges in life where we feel we can’t escape. Let me help you to learn, and grow from from these experiences rather than you continuing to suffer.
Hi, and welcome to LACounselling Ltd. My name is Lesley-Anne, I am a qualified and experienced integrative counsellor specialising in person centred therapy working with adults and young people (aged 16+).
What is important to me is as a trained professional is to support my clients to work through their problems and worries in a safe space on a one to one basis. By doing this my clients will be supported in promoting positive change in their life which is something I am very passionate about.
Through increased self-understanding and acceptance, I hope to help my clients promote positive change from within themselves.
